Fitting the Bills: Bills Mock 2.0

Updated: Apr 15

Meet the new mock, same as the old mock. At least up top. The Diggs trade does not shift my thinking on the Bills 1st Pick overall. They need to add a dynamic weapon to the offensive attack for Josh Allen, and unless they sell their future, which I am not in favor of, to get into the top 10 for one of the big 3 receivers, no other prospect in this draft moves the needle for me more than Xavier Worthy. Where things do change, is now the Bills should double down and take another, perhaps bigger WR early.

1st Round Pick 28: Xavier Worthy WR Texas

Overall Rank: 11 WR Rank: 4 PFWR Grade 9.43

Height: 5112

Weight: 169

40: 4.21

10: 1.49

Arms: 31 1/8

Hand: 8 3/4

Wing: 74 1/4

RAS: 9.34

💥Explosive Playmaker 🐇Quick Twitch 🐆Speed to Burn 🐶Has that Dog inside 🧮RAC Machine 🃏 Versatile 💣Deep Threat🍃Can be pushed off route 🐊Short Arms/Body Catches Passes 🤏Undersized Frame 🐃Bills Fit

Despite the obvious lack in size, Worthy is fearless and tough enough to fight for every yard. His obvious track speed shows up on tape, as he simply not only a 2nd but a 3rd gear that can not be matched. 3 years of production, and surprising durability, not having missed a start despite 244 touches, including rushes, receptions and returns. Worthy tilts the field with his explosiveness, and makes teams respect the deep speed, which opens up for him and others to work underneath. Has the versatility to line up across the board at X, Y, or Z which will give the Bills the ability to mix and match how they attack. Is a much better route runner than given hands and the knock on his drops is overblown, with most coming in his junior year when he played 6 games after fracturing his hand. I only counted two drops all year this season. Of course, the best reason to draft Worthy, is his deep threat ability. He shows a great knack for tracking and chasing the ball with the speed not only to get separation but to chase overthrows down, and the ability to adjust to offline deep throws. He shows quick late hands, concealing the timing of arrival of the ball. The lone knock comes down to size, and that does show up on contested catches, but with his burst, speed and quick twitch, contested catches are rare. Checks all the boxes, except size, the Bills need in their lineup.

2nd Round Pick 60: Marshawn Kneeland Edge Western Michigan

Overall Rank: 49 Edge Rank: 7 PFWR Grade 9.18

Height: 6030

Weight: 267

40: 4.75

10: 1.66

Arm: 34 1/2

Hands: 9 1/8

Wing: 83 3/8

RAS: 9.54

🃏Versatile 👹Freak Athlete 🔋Non-stop battery 🦏Power 👋Heavy Hands 🏈Football Player 🔨Hits Like a Hammer 🏋️‍♂️Elite Strength at POA 🐃Bills Fit-30 Visit

Kneeland is powerful tank of an edge, who plays with heavy hands and a non stop motor. He can play with his hand in the dirt or rush from a 2 point stance. He has little finesse as a pass rusher, but has all the tools to develop. Especially if he sponges up technique advice from Von Miller. Can contribute as a run stuffing Edge while he add tools to his belt as a rusher.

4th Round Pick 128: Ray Davis RB Kentucky

Overall Rank: 129 RB Rank: 8 PFWR Grade 7.66

Height: 5084

Weight: 220

40: 4.91

10: 1.70

Arm: 34

Hand: 9 3/8

Wing: 79 1/8

RAS: 8.94

🙌Solid Hands 🦏Power 🏈Better Football Player than Athlete 👴Older Prospect 🐃Short yardage Back who is also a threat catching out of backfield.

Tough between the tackles back with a good burst, great hands and exceptional balance through contact. Has three down potential, but would be a great complimentary back in Buffalo who can be trusted in pass protection. While he lacks elite speed, he has enough juice to make chunk plays as both a runner or receiver. Compact, powerful style helps him move the pile in short yardage situations.

4th Round Pick 133: Kitan Oladapo S Oregon State

Overall Rank: 122 DT Rank: 9 PFWR Grade 7.90

Height: 6020

Weight: 216

40: 4.58

10: 1.59

Arm: 32 3/8

Hand: 9 1/4

Wing: 76 7/8

RAS: 8.67

🔨 Hard Hitter 👋Good Use of Hands 🧲Ball Magnet 🥇Plus Athleticism 🃏Versatile 👨‍✈️Team Captain

Oladapo is a passionate leader with plus size and athleticism. He has good instincts and a non-stop motor to pursue. Projects better as a Strong Safety given his limited speed and hip fluidity, swivel and back pedal, but has the size and make up to match up vs TEs and be a quality downhill box safety. Would be a good fit in the Poyer role for the Bills and would likely be a major special teams contributor day 1 while he offers depth and competition at Safety. Has the physical tools and makeup to be a starter in McD secondary down the road.

5th Round Pick 144: Khristian Boyd DT University of Northern Iowa

Overall Rank: 134 DT Rank: 14 PFWR Grade 7.63

Height:6023 Weight:329 RAS: 3.39

🦏Raw Power 🐼Kung Fu Panda 🏋️‍♂️Elite Strength 🧸Weaker Competition 🐃Rotational NT

Massive DT with raw power and surprising motor for his size. Overwhelms and consumes blocks. Strength to anchor and collapse the pocket. Offers rotational value as he refines his game understudying behind DaQuan Jones. Bills need to add another big body to the roster as insurance for when Jones is out of the lineup.
