Bills Fill Biggest Need with an Elite Athlete in 1st

The Bills Moved up 2 spots to secure Florida CB Kaiir Elam in the first round. He checked many of the boxes the Bills look for with a premium pick, namely age, Elam turns 21 on May 5th, and a high Relative Athletic Score with an 8.64 and solid production matching up against some of the best receivers in the country and locking them down. He has elite speed, clocking in at 4.39 in the 40 and that shows up on tape.

Opposite Tre'Davious, the Bills now potentially have two lock down corners to match up against an increasingly receiver stacked AFC. He also seems to have the personality to seamlessly fit into the Bills locker room, ending his first zoom conference with a Josh Allen like "Go Bills" and he also requested a copy of the Bills playbook to dive into on the flight into Buffalo.

The Bills did need to trade away their 4th round pick to move up the two spots to get him, but Beane said he was the last 1st round graded prospect on their board at a position of need. We will now see what day 2 has in store, and I still hold out hope that they add one more dynamic offensive weapon and continue to build talent and depth across what is a championship quality roster.
